Routine

I've found that one of the many challenges of motherhood and care-takerhood (?) has been keeping a routine. Some days, our schedule flows together, others are like a fish swimming upstream. We just can't get it together. I know that in the next few weeks, it will be crucial for the little one to start recognizing a pattern in her days. She's getting there, for sure, but I can't help but feel like consistency is lacking. GI Joe's surgery and recovery have presented its' fair share of challenges, which have definitely attributed to our routine follies. Early and late appointments, physical therapy, and even just every day tasks take up a lot of time, and I find myself sidetracked and forgetting about getting Addie down to nap on time, or nursing or pumping when I had planned. She usually doesn't let me forget about when she's hungry or needs to be changed, but I'm very guilty of forgetting other things. I'm also equally guilty now of burning things in the oven, completely forgetting about the coffee that I had made, and also (ew, I know) forgetting to brush my teeth.
Between Mommy-brain, and GI Joe-brain, this lady is completely scatter-brained, and on her way to crazy town.
